The Tales of Hoffmann with West Green House Opera

Suzanne Shakespeare makes her debut with West Green House Opera in their production of The Tales of Hoffmann, Offenbach’s greatest and final work.  Based on the short stories by E.T.A. Hoffmann, a drunken poet recalls, over three acts, the great loves of his life.  Suzanne performs the role of Olympia, one of Hoffmann’s great loves of his life, who turns out to be nothing but a mechanical doll.  Directed by Richard Studer with the West Green House Orchestra conducted by Jonathan Lyness.
